PACIFICAL to celebrate on May 2nd WORLD TUNA DAY for the first time!
February 15, 2012
Our calendars are already marked on May 2nd with World Tuna Day. This year will be the first year we will be celebrating this day, so make sure you do not forget; get your Smartphone or agenda and mark that date now!

The World Tuna Day is a day to commemorate this fantastic wild species, which is super healthy, offer great taste, loads of proteins, and contributes to a healthy diet, helping to prevent heart disease. We hold the obligation to preserve tuna, to fish, process and consume it in a sustainable way. This way, many generations after us will be able to continue benefitting from it as one of the world's most popular seafood; hopefully forever.

In the Pacific, we are counting down the days to celebrate May 2nd, with tuna playing a key role in our existence, ecosystem, economy and national income. Many activities are currently being planned, and our Ministers of Fisheries have scheduled to convene on this important day to celebrate "tuna". Start planning your marketing plans to involve World Tuna Day in your promotion of your tuna products with your customers! Cynthia, we would love to see your company or organization celebrating May 2nd as World Tuna Day.
